The Challenge

Before partnering with Share One, Quik faced significant challenges in collecting customer testimonials. Rich Walker, the company’s CEO, had to personally fly to client locations, hire a professional video team, and invest countless hours in capturing just a few minutes of usable footage. This traditional process was expensive, exhausting, and inefficient.

Share One transformed this approach by introducing a fully automated, remote-friendly solution. Customers can now share their stories easily through a simple video interview process, eliminating the need for costly travel and time-consuming production efforts. This streamlined method resulted in higher customer participation since they no longer had to accommodate an in-person film crew.

Before I met Share One, I had to hire a video team to go out to the client site. I had to fly to their client location and spend a day there to capture, I don’t know, five minutes of video. It would cost me thousands of dollars and tens of hours to do that. The Share One team has fully automated this process, making it super simple, and customers respond more proactively because, “Hey,” you don’t need a camera crew to invade your office and take up your time. Just get on video for a few minutes, answer some questions, and provide an awesome testimonial. So, I 100% recommend Dan, Stacey, and the team. If you’re not using Share One, what are you doing?

I’m in a small industry, and when people see those testimonials, they often recognize the company name and, quite often, the individual on video. They may have met them before, seen them at a conference, or spotted them in the news. The CEO of Docupace gave one of the most wonderful testimonials we could have imagined, and everybody recognizes him. It adds so much value and credibility, unlike a case study that you might read, where you can’t be sure if it was fabricated. When you hear a person’s voice, and they say, “I can’t imagine a world without Quik,” is there anything better than that? What else do you need to know?

Our company has struggled to compile case studies, which is somewhat of an industry norm, to state that this company saved X number of dollars or hours. It’s been extremely challenging to achieve that. So, we’ve been growing our company without social proof. Frankly, the only social proof we’ve added to our site and messaging is logos, which we’re often restricted from using. So how do we articulate how we solve problems in someone else’s voice? We can say it all day long, but it doesn’t have the same impact.

We went out and gathered a lot of testimonials. I think I invited ten people to provide testimonials, and eight agreed immediately and recorded theirs. It was incredible how well it was received. We’ve built a library of testimonials and have been using them strategically in various ways. We’re still redesigning our website, which will prominently feature these testimonials. I think this is already making a difference for us, but we had to figure out how to showcase the real value of who we are, beyond just the webpage that states, “Oh, we do forms.”

Often, when we meet a customer, we send them one of those testimonials that aligns with their needs. For example, a partner testimonial goes to a potential partner, while a sales one might go to a sales prospect, etc. We’ve even aligned them according to the company type or size. Right now, we’ve been sending them out in emails as follow-ups. We’ve shared them on social media a few times, periodically posting on LinkedIn to increase visibility. Therefore, it’s not part of the sales pitch; it’s just spreading the word. We’re about to finish a new handout piece, which we can send to customers after a call—this comprehensive presentation includes testimonials as well. They can click on it and watch those testimonials.

I think Share One is amazing, not only for what it does but also for the price and speed at which it operates, as well as the methodology it employs.
